A new Senior Software Engineer opportunity is available in Bangalore for experienced QA professionals with strong expertise in printer-domain testing, manual testing, automation, regression testing and API testing. The position is suitable for professionals with 4–6 years of experience who can handle both manual and automated testing across important product modules and end-to-end business flows.

📌 Role: Senior Software Engineer
📍 Location: Bangalore
💼 Experience: 4–6 Years
🆔 Job ID: 112767-20-1
👥 Openings: 1
🏢 Work Type: Full-Time

🧪 Role & Responsibilities

The selected Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for testing critical application functionality across multiple levels of the testing lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:
• Execute functional, system, integration and regression testing
• Validate complete end-to-end business flows
• Perform both manual and automated test execution
• Design, write and review detailed test cases
• Automate important application modules and maintain existing automation coverage
• Perform API testing and validate application integrations
• Log, track and manage defects using JIRA
• Collaborate with developers, product teams and other stakeholders to investigate and resolve defects
• Participate in regression cycles and ensure important functionality remains stable after changes

🌟 Why This Role Is Good for Experienced QA Professionals

This position is particularly relevant for testers who want to strengthen their profile across both manual and automation testing. The requirement is not limited to executing predefined test cases; it combines test-case design, automation, API validation, regression strategy and end-to-end business-flow testing.
The printer domain is another differentiator. Professionals already familiar with printer products, device workflows, print jobs, connectivity or printer-related applications can directly demonstrate domain expertise instead of competing solely on generic testing skills.
For someone with 4–6 years of experience, the role can also provide opportunities to demonstrate ownership of key modules, defect analysis and collaboration with engineering teams.

💰 Salary Range

The supplied job post does not mention an official salary or CTC. For Bangalore professionals with 4–6 years of experience in manual + automation QA, a practical market discussion range can be around ₹8 LPA–₹16 LPA, depending on automation expertise, printer-domain experience, API skills, current compensation and employer. This is an indicative market range, not a confirmed salary offered for this position.

📚 Preparation Tips

🖨️ Study printer workflows: Be ready to explain print-job submission, queue handling, device communication, printer status, failure scenarios and end-to-end validation where applicable to your experience.
🔄 Build a regression strategy: Explain how you decide which printer features and business flows belong in a regression pack after a new release.
🔌 Practice API testing: Revise HTTP methods, status codes, headers, JSON/XML, authentication, positive/negative testing and response validation.
🤖 Explain automation choices: Be prepared to discuss what should be automated, what should remain manual and how you maintain automation when application behavior changes.
🐞 Practice defect investigation: Prepare examples involving intermittent failures, environment issues, reproducibility, logs and developer collaboration.
🧩 Think end-to-end: Don’t prepare only individual test cases; practice explaining complete workflows from user action through backend/API/device response.
📊 Know JIRA thoroughly: Be comfortable explaining defect creation, severity, priority, evidence, lifecycle, retesting and closure.

📄 Resume Tips

Your resume should immediately highlight Printer Domain + Manual Testing + Automation + API Testing. Do not hide printer-domain experience inside a project description. Put it prominently in your professional summary if applicable.
Use achievement-focused bullets such as the number of automated test cases created, regression time reduced, modules automated, defects identified or releases supported—only where the numbers are accurate.
Include keywords such as Functional Testing, System Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, API Testing, Automation Testing, Printer Domain, JIRA, Test Case Design and End-to-End Testing.
If you have Selenium/Java, Python, REST Assured, Postman, SQL or CI/CD experience, place those technologies in a dedicated technical-skills section. Most importantly, demonstrate how your automation supported real product regression and business-flow validation, rather than simply listing tools.

🚀 Final Thoughts

This opportunity is focused on a specialized combination of printer-domain knowledge, manual testing, automation, API testing and regression ownership. Candidates who can demonstrate strong end-to-end testing skills alongside practical automation experience should tailor their resumes specifically around these requirements. The printer-domain requirement is particularly important, so applicants should make relevant product and testing experience highly visible rather than relying on generic QA terminology.
