🏢 About Persistent Systems

Persistent Systems is an AI-led, platform-driven Digital Engineering and Enterprise Modernization company serving organizations globally. The company works with major enterprises, including 20 Fortune 50 companies and four of the five largest banks in both the U.S. and India.

For Salesforce professionals, Persistent’s enterprise and industry-focused projects can provide exposure to complex CRM implementations, integrations, healthcare technology and large-scale digital transformation.

📌 Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for end-to-end Salesforce quality activities, including:

  • 🧪 Functional, Regression, UAT, Load and Security Testing
  • 📋 Analyzing business requirements, user stories and technical specifications
  • ☁️ Testing Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Health Cloud
  • 🤖 Validating Agentforce implementations
  • 🔄 Testing Salesforce Flows, approvals, workflows and case-management processes
  • 🔌 API and integration validation using Postman or similar tools
  • 🐞 Defect reporting, tracking and retesting
  • 🚀 Release validation and production sanity testing
  • 📊 Preparing test plans, test cases and execution reports
  • 🤝 Working with developers, business analysts and project stakeholders

💼 Why Is This Role Good for Your Experience?

This isn’t a basic manual-testing position. The JD combines Salesforce platform testing with API, integration, security, performance and UAT testing, making it suitable for QA professionals who want broader ownership of the testing lifecycle.

You will also gain experience testing business-critical workflows such as case management, Flows, approvals, permissions, sharing rules and integrations. This can strengthen your profile for future positions such as Senior Salesforce QA, Salesforce QA Lead, Quality Engineer or Salesforce Test Architect.

🛠️ Skills Required

Candidates should focus on the following skills:

  • ☁️ Salesforce Testing: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Health Cloud
  • 🧪 Manual Testing: Functional, Regression, Integration, System and UAT
  • 🤖 Agentforce: Basic understanding of AI-agent workflows and validation
  • 🔌 API Testing: REST APIs, Postman, request/response validation
  • 🗄️ SQL: Data validation and backend verification
  • 🔐 Security Testing: Profiles, permission sets, sharing rules and access validation
  • Performance Testing: Load testing concepts and JMeter
  • 🔄 Salesforce Workflows: Flows, approvals, validation rules and case management
  • 🐞 Defect Management: JIRA, Azure DevOps or ALM
  • 📊 Test Management: Test plans, scenarios, execution reports and defect reports
  • 🚀 Release Validation: Deployment validation and production sanity testing
  • 🔁 Agile: Scrum, sprint testing and stakeholder collaboration

🎯 Expected Interview Rounds at Persistent Systems

Round 1 – Recruiter Screening: Experience, Salesforce exposure, notice period, location, compensation and role alignment.

Round 2 – Salesforce QA Technical Round: Expect detailed questions on Salesforce objects, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, Flows, validation rules, Service Cloud and case management.

Round 3 – Testing & Integration Round: Prepare API testing, Postman, SQL, integration scenarios, regression strategy, UAT and defect-management situations.

Round 4 – Managerial Round: Senior-level ownership, stakeholder management, release decisions, production defects, prioritization and communication.

Round 5 – HR/Final Discussion: Compensation, joining timeline, benefits and employment-related discussions.

💰 Expected Salary Range

For a 5–8 year Salesforce Manual Tester, considering the specialized Salesforce, API, security, UAT and integration requirements, a reasonable market expectation could be approximately ₹8–16 LPA.

Candidates with strong Health Cloud, Agentforce, API, performance testing or Salesforce certification experience may have stronger negotiating leverage.

📚 Preparation Tips

  1. Master Salesforce security: Be ready to explain Profiles vs Permission Sets, Roles, Sharing Rules and Field-Level Security.
  2. Prepare a Service Cloud scenario: Explain how you would test case creation, assignment, escalation, status changes and closure.
  3. Practice Salesforce Flow testing: Prepare positive, negative, boundary and exception scenarios for automated workflows.
  4. Learn Agentforce basics: Understand how you would validate AI-agent responses, intent handling, escalation and incorrect responses.
  5. Practice API + Salesforce validation: Explain how you would use Postman to validate an API and then verify resulting Salesforce data.
  6. Prepare UAT examples: Be ready to explain stakeholder coordination, defect prioritization and business sign-off.
  7. Revise performance testing: Understand load, stress, response time, throughput and concurrency.
  8. Prepare security scenarios: Test unauthorized access, permission changes and sensitive-data visibility.

📄 Resume Tips

Your resume should immediately communicate “Salesforce QA Specialist”, rather than simply “Manual Tester.”

Place these keywords prominently where they genuinely match your experience: Salesforce Testing, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Health Cloud, Agentforce, Functional Testing, Regression, UAT, Integration Testing, API Testing, Postman, SQL, Security Testing, Load Testing, JIRA, Salesforce Flows and Release Validation.

Use achievement-focused bullets. Instead of “Performed Salesforce testing,” write:

“Executed end-to-end Salesforce Service Cloud testing across case management, Flows, integrations and regression scenarios, supporting successful production releases.”

⭐ Final Verdict

This is a strong opportunity for experienced QA professionals looking to specialize in Salesforce Quality Engineering. The combination of Salesforce CRM, Health Cloud, Agentforce, API testing, security validation, performance testing and UAT makes this considerably broader than a conventional manual-testing role.

🎯 Best preparation strategy: Build your interview preparation around one complete Salesforce business flow—requirement → Salesforce configuration → Flow/approval → API integration → database validation → security → regression → UAT → production release. If you can confidently explain how you would test every stage, you’ll be well aligned with this JD.
